Networking at the San Diego Content Strategy Meetup

I visited the Tiger! Tiger! Tavern to attend the San Diego Content Strategy meetup. My objective was to meet like-minded content marketing individuals and I couldn’t be more pleased to have attended this inaugural event. In this blog I write about the value of networking and a comparison of on and off line marketing similarities.

Local San Diego Marketing Company Meets indeed Rockstars at Hard Rock Hotel!

We had the pleasure of attending an event at the Hard Rock Hotel Float Bar in Downtown San Diego to meet and greet with some of the top indeed clients. This event was very well prepared with a photo booth, hors d’oeuvres, great music, and lots of opportunities for networking. #1 Job Site in San Diego & the World For those who do not know indeed is the world’s #1 job site with 16 million jobs in every industry. They are launching their first brand marketing campaign in the US called, How the world works. It is a celebration of the role of every job and to motivate people to take on life’s daily challenges.  The campaign will be on TV, online, and outdoor ads across the country. “Whether it’s creating the perfect line of code, the perfect presentation, or the perfect cup of coffee, the world needs smart, talented and motivated people.” – indeed “How the world works” Three members of the Riverine team attended the event to learn more about the organization, meet recruiters, and eat ALL THE TACOS. Our client, 3 Blind Mice Window Coverings in San Diego was also in attendance. When it comes down to it, even internet marketing is all about relationships. It’s always great meeting with our local inbound marketing clients after hours for some laughs, some drinks, and maybe a few new ideas for marketing strategy. Networking is a key to success within our company and referrals have been our biggest source of new leads. If you are interested in learning more about our local networking please read, San Diego State University Professional Mixer by...

San Diego State University Professional Mixer by AMA

Roger Tower of Riverine, Inc. attended the San Diego State University Professional Mixer by the SDSU AMA  (American Marketing Association) to meet and learn about what the school has to offer for it’s undergrad curriculum. Many new opportunities for interns with shining faces were presented for the 2015 summer internship and development program at our growing digital marketing agency. Read on to learn who we are looking to hire. “I’d like to make a shout out to all the students who participated in our website suggestions test, it was very valuable and gave me a first hand look on how users navigated my company website!”  _Roger Tower Roger was invited to the mixer after participating in one of their meetings as a presenter on digital marketing. One of the agency’s current consultants, Jeffrey Guevara is a member of the organization and notified us of this chance to present. While preparing for the event we thought “what is the best way to engage students while also critiquing their knowledge?” So we put together a short and easy to complete assignment for the students. They appreciated the opportunity to show their skills and it was a Win-Win for everyone. This was the first real networking event attended as the newly re-branded Riverine, Inc. and we look forward to working further with the San Diego State University American Marketing Association to help us grow. How an entrepreneur was born

Nature vs. Nurture Many entrepreneurs will tell you they can trace their inspiration back to a specific event, others will tell you they were born with the entrepreneur’s spirit already burning. In my case, I think it was a little of both! With 4 doctors, 3 lawyers and 20+ master’s degrees in my immediate/1st degree family, I don’t think it is bragging to say my family has some good genes!
